Hi, I’m Mary Licon, the creator of Recipita! Since 2018, I’ve shared daily recipes from my cozy kitchen in San Francisco, where I live with my husband, kids, and a few furry friends.
With a love for photography and feel-good food, I create easy, wholesome meals for every lifestyle—from gluten-free to high-protein. I’m so glad you’re here to cook, explore, and enjoy with me!



My goal is to offer straightforward, simple-to-follow recipes that are wholesome and actually taste good.

Hi, I’m Mary Licon, the heart behind Recipita!
Back in 2018, when my youngest was still in diapers and life felt like a blur of snack time and laundry, I found myself craving a creative outlet. I’ve always loved experimenting in the kitchen—especially with wholesome, feel-good meals—but it wasn’t until I picked up an old camera that the idea for Recipita truly started to simmer.
Before Recipita, I worked in a small design studio—lots of deadlines, not much space for creativity at home. Eventually, I realized what I really wanted was more time with my family and a way to do something that combined my love for food, photography, and helping others.
So I took a leap of faith and started Recipita—just me, my camera, and a head full of recipe ideas. What began as a tiny side project quickly grew into something bigger than I ever imagined. Now, a few years (and hundreds of recipes!) later, Recipita welcomes millions of visitors each year looking for simple, delicious, and feel-good meals they can trust.
Today, I post new recipes every single day, all tested in my cozy home kitchen in San Francisco, where I live with my husband (who has a background in tech,now helps with the techy side of things) our three kids, two energetic dogs, and a few mischievous cats.
